But first...
CCLQ, the daytime branch of our Nimble Thimbles family, is hosting a charity block drive!!! Would YOU like to help with one, as well???
NOTE: Any readers are welcome to participate in this block drive!
My friend Alycia @ Alycia Quilts is hosting a block drive for Colorado Quilts of Valor. I thought it might be nice to do something like this for the NC Quilts of Valor program or another patriotic group.
SEW...
Here's the block that I made:
If YOU have Red, White, and Blue scraps in your stash, Alycia's tutorial is fast and easy! Make as many blocks as you would like to donate. Let's see how many blocks we can make by the Late May meeting! What do you say? Go play in those scraps. :o))
Show and Tell...
Ann has been busy with quilt to commemorate her Hawaiian vacation in February of this year:
She's using this pattern...
... Which even includes 3-D collar detailing:
Ann had the following to say about her project:
I sent Joy some photos of my current project - a memory quilt from our Hawaiian vacation. I had no idea then how bad the COVID 19 crisis would become. On the last full day of our cruise, they started precautions in serving food, but otherwise, we were fortunate our trip seemed normal. What a difference from February until now!
Margaret made a pillow for her FIL from a t-shirt from his 80th birthday family reunion:
It's since been delivered:
Joy made this wall hanging out of her friend Cheryl K's cast off HSTs and a (now vintage) dress from her own closet:
Jean R. has been busy!! Quilting...
... Mask making...
... And organizing:
Britt made a D4P with a Twist:
Other members are invited to text project photographs thru the upcoming weekend. Joy will gladly add them to this post. Please email, if you have trouble texting your photos to her.
Until next time...
QUILT safely!!!
