Working on 3 different quilts. Gave one to Britt to baste on the long arm. Finished the Lorna Doone top and it’s like sleeping under a flower bed! Chelsea quilt top is also done.

With it finally done, Suzan will long arm quilt in the ditch and border. Jean shared Shimmering Quilts from Jenny Bowker. Britt found it online and screen shared these amazing quilts with us. (LINK to Jenny Bowker's work.)

Donna at the Bluff had a huge tub of fabric from the 50’s. Ruth will bring this bin of fabric to NC and share with us. "The CCLQ will have a “feeding frenzy” this fall instead of bobbing for apples,” says Candy.

Working on musical bargello quilt. She us currently sewing strips together and hopes to have the top to Suzan by Monday.

Added stripe fabric border to black and white quilt. Took advice from Britt and hand sewed the miters to get her corners accurate.

Working on backs for quilts. She has several quilt tops ready and plans to get them to a long arm quilter. Carol made a cute chicken...

Candy forwarded a LINK for the Shimmering Triangles quilts that Jean shared.
She had the following to say:
After Jean talked about these quilts, I just had to look more closely! Jenny Bowker's FB page is a private page & I didn't sign up but there are other places to see shimmering quilts. For example, someone on Pinterest has photos of a bunch of them.
They are amazing although I'm afraid that making one might drive my astigmatism crazy! There are lots of other pictures on the internet.
