4/25/22: CCLQ at DeeDee’s

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!  This week quilters met at DeeDee’s home. Enjoy the quilts and more!

Deborah shared this handy tip for managing binding.  Years ago, DeeDee gave Deborah a couple of large paper clip book marks. Deborah couldn’t find her usual large clip to hold her binding so tried the giant paper clip and it worked beautifully!

Sneak peak at Deborah’s Round Robin quilt…called Heartfelt.  Gayle quilted this quilt using lots of hearts.

Gayle shared her beautiful Round Robin quilt.  Gayle will be cruising next week.

Ruth B has been busy doing gardening and reading a new book for book club.

Although Maggie was not at our bee today…here’s a lovely donation quilt made by Maggie.

Ruth S is finishing up the binding on this quilt

Carol shared this adorable scrap donation quilt which will be cherished by a young child.

Lynda shared a wonderful story about the recent trip that she and Britt took.  Lynda took three quilts to give away to relatives who were thrilled to receive them.

Linda H brought a nice bag of scraps for Carol!

Linda reported she is diligently working on fabric organizing and keeps finding more fabric!  She’s working on her Round Robin quilt for the big reveal next week.

Ella is showing some beautiful fabric given to her today by Linda H.  Recently Linda and Ella visited a Thread Runs Through It fabric shop in Virginia.  Ella bought some beautiful fall fabric at ATRTI. Linda found the complimentary fabric online at Grandma’s Fabric in Oregon.

DeeDee recently purchased a new blouse pattern and found this gorgeous rayon fabric in her stash that will be perfect for a new blouse.

DeeDee found this cool pattern while cleaning up her sewing room.

DeeDee found a wonderful collection of vintage patterns while cleaning the nooks and crannies in her sewing room.

Amazing!

DeeDee also shared this beautiful Quilt of Valor given to her neighbor’s dad. The pattern is from Bonnie Hunter.

Quilt back

DeeDee sewed an official Quilt of Valor label on the quilt.

More incredible finds while cleaning up!  DeeDee found this collection of small art quilts ready for quilting!

Last year DeeDee traveled to Egypt and purchased some wonderful pillow covers made by women in Egypt.

Next week…the Round Robin Reveal at Cheryl’s!!!  Until then, happy quilting!!!.
